simulacrum of life

lessons learnt

  1. kindness is usually repaid with cruelty
  2. being mercenary ensures that you don't get cheated
  3. it's easier to become the monster so that the monster will not break you, than it is to try and fight it
  4. having no emotional memory ensures that you'll get hurt again and again
  5. family is for life; a lot of it for bad
  6. those few times when kindness begets kindness make the shitty turns almost worth it
  7. being mercenary ensures that you don't do anything for emotional satisfaction
  8. if you can fight the monster and not succumb, victory tastes sweet.. but be prepared to be shat on time and time again
  9. having no emotional memory ensures that you are willing to take that gamble each and every time and eventually.. hopefully gambler's ruin doesn't get you first.
  10. family is for life; god only knows what i'd do without them, for the support they give me..
